Description

This traditionally homemade hand cut Sicilian Red Orange Marmalade is made from locally grown freshly picked non treated fruit using the entire orange, slowly reduced with only sugar added in a large copper marmalade pan, stirring occasionally.

Note: The dark red color of red Sicilian Tarocco Oranges is due to low temperatures at night from January to mid- March, before the cold the oranges are blond. The later we harvest, the darker the color of the marmalade which can vary from light orange to dark orange. The time of production is limited to about 3 months because we only use fresh fruit. Availability of product is limited.

Usage

On toast or bread, for breakfast, added to yoghurt and muesli. For sweets, cakes and puddings. Delicious with mild cheese and fresh ricotta.
